The IBISWorld Rail Transportation of Freight in China industry report includes the operation of railways for the transportation of freight across China. This includes state-owned railroads as well as local railroads (invested in and operated by local governments) for transferring freight or cargo. Management and operations of railway terminals and station facilities are not included in this industry. These are covered in Subsector 513, Railway Transportation Assistant Activities. This industry does not include baggage and parcel transportation, which are included in Subsector 59, Postal Industries.
