Policies and payment rate changes for inpatient stays in acute care hospitals for fiscal year 2010 have been set by the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS).

That’s why we have organized our annual reimbursement management briefing audio webcast on the impact of the changes for hospitals found in the new final rule adopted by CMS.

Acute care hospitals will receive an inflation update in their Medicare payment rates of 2.1 percent in fiscal year 2010. Earlier, the agency had initially proposed to reduce payments to account for the effect of increases in aggregate payments due to changes in hospital coding practices. The changes go into effect October 1.

Join with your colleagues from around the country and the reimbursement experts from Deloitte & Touche LLP for this comprehensive summary of the changes found in the final regulations that CMS has adopted. Discover how these changes may affect your organization in this special 90-minute live audio webcast took place on September 17, 2009.

Medicare payments to acute care hospitals for inpatient services occurring in FY 2010 are projected to increase by $1.9 billion.
