The growth of eBanking continues: banks continue to spend heavily on online services and more than 25% of European consumers accessing the Internet now bank online. However, the way eBanking is conceived has changed. It is no longer regarded as a substitute for traditional banking services but rather a necessary complement. The challenge for eBanking providers is to encourage more of the Internet using population to bank online and to develop more profitable relationships with existing online bankers.
