The Taiwanese Router Industry, 1Q 2004 and Beyond
Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute (MIC) [a division of Institute for Information Industry (III)], July 2004, Pages: 18
The shipment performance of the Taiwanese router industry declined in the first quarter of 2004. Although shipment volume grew year-on-year by 28% to reach 3.5 million units, shipments declined sequentially by 2.8%. However, an increase in shipments of high-end routers caused ASP to rise, and pushed shipment value up to US$154.4 million. This total represented a year-on-year growth of 22.2% and sequential growth of 9.8%. The second quarter looks bright as broadband penetration rates continue to increase worldwide; Taiwanese router shipments are anticipated to grow by 30.9% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2004.
