The Canada Online report analyzes the important trends that shape the mature, but still evolving, usage patterns of Canadian users -- at business, at home and in school. It provides both a broad and in-depth analysis of demographics of this digitally advanced country.

The Report Address These Demographic Groups -- and Questions:

- Age
- Gender
- Income
- Education
- Race/Ethnicity
- Region
- Location: Home, Work, School
- Usage by Employment Status
- Who's Not Online and Why?
- And many more...

Here is an example of the type of statistics and analysis that fill the report:

Online Demographics: By the Numbers -- Age

Canada's population is aging. The median age reached an all-time high of 37.6 in 2001, according to Statistics Canada. At the same time, fertility rates have fallen. Canada, overall, is older than the US. As of July 2003, 31% of the Canadian population was between the ages of 35 and 54 and 23% was 55 or older. By comparison, in the US, 29.5% are 35 to 54 and 21.5% are 55 or older.

There are 13.3 million adults and 3.9 million children online in Canada, according to comScore Media Metrix. As in the US, younger Canadians make up a greater portion of Internet users, but there is a sizeable middle-age contingent to the Internet population. More than one-third of Internet users are ages 35 to 54.

Looking solely at adult Internet users, one-third are ages 18 to 34, while 36% are between the ages of 35 and 49.
