Introduction
Corn, Wheat and Soybean Wholesaling: Is the Future in Corn?
Planting intentions indicate that there is likely to be a shift towards wheat and soybean production early in the outlook period, but acreage will shift back to corn from 2010 for the remainder of the outlook period. In the medium-term, ethanol production is also expected to contribute to demand for corn, and biodiesel production will contribute to oilseed demand. US government support for the biofuel industry is anticipated to continue.
