This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing business support services (except secretarial and other document preparation services; telephone answering or telemarketing services; private mail services or document copying services conducted as separate activities or in conjunction with other office support services; monetary debt collection services; and credit reporting services). Included in this industry are establishments primarily engaged in repossessing tangible assets (e.g., automobile, boats, equipment, planes, furniture, appliances) for the creditor as a result of delinquent debts. Repossession services comprise of adjustment bureaus and recovery and repossession services, which includes establishments primarily engaged in the collection or adjustment of claims other than insurance. The industry also includes court reporting and stenotype services and business services not elsewhere classified (n.e.c.). The former comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing verbatim reporting and stenotype recording of live legal proceedings and transcribing subsequent recorded materials. These establishments furnish secretarial, typing, word processing, resume writing, and court reporting services. All other business support services comprises establishments primarily engaged in furnishing business services, not elsewhere classified (n.e.c.), such as auctioneers establishments (service only), business brokers, drafting service, independent lecture bureaus, inspection service, printing brokers, notaries public, and shop window decoration or trimming, on a commission or fee basis.
