Nearly a third of companies do not track their product life cycles, and of those who do, more than a quarter report stable or increasing product life cycles.
This surprising finding is one of the results of the 2000 Product Development Metrics Survey from Goldense Group, Inc. (GGI).
This industry-wide survey gathered responses from 121 companies and focused on new product development portfolio management practices.
The 'Research Results' report adds further analyses to that provided in the 'Highlights' and 'Summary' reports by 'cutting' the data to look at survey results in the following segments: Public vs. Private Companies, Smaller vs. Larger Companies, Companies with More vs. Fewer Employees, Higher vs. Lower Tech Companies and Process vs. Repetitive/Discrete vs. Job Shop Companies.
