2002 Product Development Metrics Research Highlights
Goldense Group Inc, Feb 2003, Pages: 65
A significant majority of respondent companies are now following a rigorous project/product selection process. 80% of the firms reported using a 2-Step or 2.5-Step methodology. This has increased significantly since 2000, when 63% of companies had that level of discipline. These results highlight companies' increased commitment to more discipline in their product development business. These findings from the Goldense Group Inc. (GGI) 2002 Product Development Metrics survey are just a representative sample of the research results presented in this report. This 'Highlights' report is the 'management summary' of the results of GGI's 2002 Product Development Metrics Survey, based on responses from 83 companies in a range of industries. The 'Highlights' report includes 2002 R& D metrics information and resource and capacity management practices from survey respondents, including analyses of companies' capabilities in loading the RD& E capacity pipeline, providing capacity for RD& E activities, balancing cross-functional resources, using systems, tools, and metrics to manage capacity, and RD& E metrics used in industry.
