The main reason why Nokia dropped behind Motorola was due to it lack of phone models, however, along with the launch of 7610, added the hot sales of 6610 for the whole year, Nokia still achieved a good performance. Through the good performance of the cheap phone models of OEASY E868 and DOEASY E858, Bird also achieved considerable sales.

With regard to the Operation System (OS), Linux showed a strong development with a market share of 48.3%. The domestic Hopen OS also showed a good performance with a market share of 8.1%.

- The decline of single profits of mobile phones forced more and more manufacturers to produce smartphones, the fierce competition also decreased the price, and thus caused the sales to continually grow fast.
- The growing trend of 2004 will continue into 2005, Linux products will also keep the leading position in Chinese market.
- In 2005, Motorola and Nokia will remain in the first group with an advantage, and Nokia might take over Motorola.
