Card Issuers’ Identity Safety Scorecard –The Next Competitive Differentiator: Empowering the Customer
Javelin Strategy & Research, April 2006, Pages: 22
Javelin’s Card Issuers’ Identity Safety Scorecard measures and ranks issuers on their cardholder - facing identity fraud Prevention, Detection and Resolution™ capabilities. The nation’s top 23 credit card issuers were ranked on the services and measures they have implemented in partnership with customers to protect against identity fraud.
Primary Questions:
- Which card issuers lead in partnering with their customers for protection against identity fraud? - What services and features are the trends of the future? - How can issuers increase customer safety and reduce fraud costs while driving profitability through higher acquisition, selection and loyalty?
Major Findings:
Age and income predict unique preference patterns for alerts at banks and issuers. Consumer interest falls primarily within the categories of convenience, financial management, and safety. Today’s alerts will lead to a broader set of customer account controls (user-defined alerts, prohibitions, and review-and-release controls) that we will see at bank and issuer sites over the next several years.
Audience: Credit Card Issuers, particularly fraud, risk and marketing groups
