RIM Blackberry vs. Smartphone User Profile
iGillott Research, Aug 2006, Pages: 42
BlackBerry or Smartphone? This question comes up time and time again at the airport, in the mobile operator store and in the IT departments. Users, operators and business purchases are all constantly weighing the pros and cons of each type of design.
This report compares the results of two separate surveys, the first targeting BlackBerry users and the second smartphone users. Each survey used the same structure and many of the same questions – this approach, together with sufficient sample sizes, allows for a direct comparison of much of the data. Each survey was programmed using the same software and the same panel company was used as the list source for each survey. Each study of the smartphone and BlackBerry users created a considerable amount of detailed data – this summary is designed only to compare the similarities and differences between the two groups.
