New Zealand’s largest mobile network operator, Vodafone New Zealand offers voice, data and value-added mobile services. It holds more than 50% market share of the mobile market. Products and services on Vodafone’s 3G network include Video Calling, 3G Games, Mobile TV and business applications. It also operates fixed line voice and data services following its acquisition of ISP ihug which now has been fully integrated into the company. Vodafone launched its upgraded and much faster 3G HSDPA network which will extend to 97% of the country by 2010. It has in place a strategy to utilise MVNOs and to provide wholesale fixed-line voice and broadband products via local loop unbundling.
