We revealed several unexpected results concerning 3G in the US.
Over 1,000 respondents (including approximately 10% who have adopted 3G) weren’t very interested in multimedia and entertainment; although, there was strong interest in other applications. 3G users were also more likely to want additional applications, and a large number indicated they would change carriers for 3G service.
In addition to survey results, this report reviews 3G initiatives and pricing for consumer and business 3G services in the US, Europe, and Asia.
There is also an evaluation of 3G compared with Wi-Fi and WiMax in providing mobile data services.
The report will help mobile carriers, application developers, and device vendors to capitalize on 3G by delivering high-demand services.
