In 2005, Actions Semiconductor's annual revenue reached US$149.4 million, of which US$146.6 million came from MP3 player SoC and related products. The company has started to pose a threat to SigmaTel, the current leader in the global MP3 player SoC market. In early 2006, Actions Semiconductor stopped manufacturing the power meter series IC and shifted to MP3 player SoC.
