The gas utilities market is calculated as the total value of natural gas used by industrial, (including energy generators purchasing gas from utilities), commercial, residential, and other end-users (including transport and agriculture users). Volumes, which reflect net gas consumption, are shown in billions of cubic feet and values have been calculated according to average annual end-user prices. All currency conversions used within this report have been calculated using constant 2007 annual average exchange rates. For the purpose of this report North America comprises Canada, Mexico and the US. South America comprises Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Venezuela.
