Positive psychology moves psychology from a medical model toward a strengths model to help clients shore up their strengths and thereby lead happier, more fulfilling lives. Positive Psychology Coaching: Putting the Science of Happiness to Work for Your Clients provides concrete language and interventions for integrating positive psychology techniques into any mental health practice.

About the Author:

Robert Biswas-Diener, M.S. is known as the 'Indiana Jones of positive psychology.' Robert's studies have taken him to such far flung destinations as Greenland, Spain, Kenya, Israel, and India, where he has worked with remote groups of people traditionally overlooked by researchers. His work was the subject of the documentary film, 'How happy can you be?' Robert is a part-time instructor at Portland State University in Oregon. He holds a Master's degree in clinical psychology from Pacific University and, in 2005, founded Meridian Life Coaching, LLC, to provide life coaching services to a wide range of academics and professionals. Robert lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and two children.

Ben Dean, PhD, MCC is one of the most influential figures in the world of coaching. In 1997 he founded MentorCoach® LLC, the first coach training school exclusively focused on training mental health professionals which has trained thousands of clinicians and other mental health professionals throughout North America, Europe, and Australia. Ben also publishes several widely-read newsletters, including Coaching Toward Happiness, Therapist as Coach and eCoach. He lives in suburban Maryland with his wife, Janice, their children, David and Sara, and Norman, their dwarf bunny.
