North American Market for Home Network Support Services
In-Stat/MDR, May 2007, Pages: 39
Even today, home networks are still primarily set up by tech savvy consumersfor themselves, their family, and their friends. However, retailers, such as Best Buy's Geek Squad, and telco broadband service providers have been offering home network support services. As the number of nodes on a home network grows, the support headaches tend to increase, and even the tech-savvy guru in the household reaches a point where they no longer want to provide all the support for their friends and extended families. This report discusses market drivers and insights into the current state of the home network support services market. The results from two end-user surveys are presented, which lay a foundation for our detailed forecast model that includes the number of subscribers and subscriber revenue in the US, Canada, and North America from 2006 to 2011.
