Huawei, ZTE, Amoisonic, Techfaiths Development Strategies in the 3G Mobile Phone Market
Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute (MIC) [a division of Institute for Information Industry (III)], April 2007, Pages: 24
In 2004, the leading international mobile phone vendors operating in China began to restructure their distribution channels and modify their product line-up. As a result, domestic Chinese mobile phone vendors experienced a worsening in their position in the GSM/GPRS mobile phone market. However, by the second half of 2005, Chinese mobile phone makers such as Huawei, ZTE, and Amoisonic, as well as mobile phone design house Techfaith had begun to secure contracts for WCDMA mobile phones from major international telecoms such as Vodafone and Telefonica. These companies have become a new driving force in the global 3G mobile phone market. This report will examine the development of Huawei, ZTE, Amoisonic, and Techfaith in the 3G market.
