US Small Business Managed Services Trends and Spending (5 to 99 Employees)
In-Stat/MDR, July 2007, Pages: 18
When it comes to the performance of many business network functions like security, storage, and hosting, the small business market is increasingly more likely to turn to a managed services provider to perform these functions and less likely to perform them in-house. Though somewhat slower than spending growth among firms with more than 100 employees, we predict steadily increasing managed services (MS) spending growth in the small business market with a 7% CAGR through 2011. This report covers managed services adoption trends in the US small business market. There are two main sections of this report. The first section will focus on demand for managed services, including managed services adoption trends for multiple business network functions. Also covered is demand for fully-managed IP telephony and fully-managed desktop solutions. The second section will focus on small business managed services spending. Survey data tables which detail current and future demand for all surveyed business network business functions are broken down to the small business sub-segment level.
The report is based upon primary research obtained in a recent survey that included 304 US small business network decision makers.
