US SOHO Business Managed Services Trends and Spending (1 to 4 Employees)
In-Stat/MDR, Aug 2007, Pages: 17
When it comes to the performance of many business network functions like security, storage, and LAN management, the SOHO sub-segment of the US business market is more likely to perform most functions in-house, as opposed to contracting with a managed service provider?if they even perform these functions at all. This report covers managed services adoption trends in the US SOHO business market. There are three main sections to this report. The first section focuses on demand for managed services, including managed services adoption trends for four new business network functions covered in the 2007 Managed Services Survey. Also covered is the demand for fully-managed IP telephony and fully-managed desktop solutions. The second section focuses on SOHO adoption of utility computing, or "on-demand" services. Covered is demand for on-demand network/bandwidth capacity, computer storage capacity, and server/CPU capacity.
The third section focuses on SOHO business managed services spending. Survey data tables that detail current and future demand for all surveyed network business functions are broken down to the SOHO business sub-segment level.
The report is based upon primary research obtained in a recent survey that included 155 US SOHO business network decision makers.
This report is helpful to any service provider that is currently offering, or is planning to offer a managed service to decision-makers in the US SOHO business market.
