The goal of this Video Leadership Seminar is to provide lawyers with essential information for advising their clients on legislative issues. The DVD is viewable on any computer or iPod (that supports video) and features 30 minutes of live video with Jeffrey Brooks of Adams and Reese LLP, sharing his knowledge and experience with legislative legal issues. The Video Leadership Seminar provides specific resources such as the attorney’s role in advising the client on the issue as well as identifying and communicating the issues to the client.

About the Author
Jeff Brooks is a Practice Group Leader for the Special Business Services practice team and Partner in Charge of the Washington DC office of Adams and Reese LLP. Mr. Brooks’ primary practice is governmental relations in which he represents his clients legislatively on matters of transportation, appropriations, public works, education and the environment. Prior to joining Adams and Reese, Mr. Brooks served for three years as chief counsel and director of special projects for Congressman Richard Baker. During his tenure with Congressman Baker, Mr. Brooks was responsible for all economic development projects and for developing and handling appropriations, transportation, health care, environment and banking issues for the Congressman. Additionally, Mr. Brooks was Congressman Baker’s state director for his Louisiana district offices. Mr. Brooks received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Orleans in 1990 where he served as the president of the University of New Orleans Student Government Association. In 1993 he obtained his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School. Following law school, Mr. Brooks served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Elizabeth A. Pickett, Chief Judge, Louisianas Eleventh Judicial District.
