About the Author
Mr. Heermance has been engaged in civil defense litigation for nearly twenty years. He has received from his peers the highest possible Martindale Hubbell rating (AV) in both legal acumen and ethics. Mr. Heermance has litigated and tried numerous cases over the years. These cases include: product liability, construction, medical malpractice, employment, professional liability, municipal liability, environmental, negligent security, motor vehicle tort, premises, bad faith and insurance coverage matters. Mr. Heermance represents a variety of clients in the health fitness industry, including the nation’s largest health fitness corporations and a number of health fitness product manufacturers. Mr. Heermance is a member of the State and Federal bars in New York, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Defense Association of New York and New York Bar Association. He has authored many articles concerning litigation issues and lectures on a variety of litigation/insurance topics. Mr. Heermance is a graduate of the State University of New York, College at Oswego (B.A.), and New England School of Law (J.D., w/honors), where he was the Vice President of the Honors Moot Court Board.
