Commodities for Every Portfolio debunks the myth that you have to be a professional or institutional investor to invest in the booming commodity markets. The author breaks down this myth by providing history, along with techniques and strategies, to capture the interest of a diverse group of readers. He provides four chapters dedicated to different ways of investing in commodities:

-Stocks
-Mutual Funds
-ETFs
-Futures.

In these chapters, Balarie encourages investors who prefer to invest in commodity stocks or mutual funds to diversify among several commodities. He pinpoints BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto as two global companies that produce a wide range of industrial metals (copper, silver, aluminum, zinc, etc.). Rogers Raw Materials and Brookshire Raw Materials are two index-based funds that participate in the commodity markets. He also includes information about trading strategies, technical analysis, and trend following for those who think trading is their best option. Finally, the author offers helpful ways for investors to find assistance, like through their brokers or by subscribing to financial advisory newsletters.
