GPC Biotech (GPC), founded in 1997, has a business model relied on two pillars, as a service provider for preclinical research and as a product company with its own development pipeline. Later, the company changed its focus by developing a platform of base technologies, LeadCode, through collaborations with pharmaceutical partners and through the support of its own drug development projects.

The companys second lead product candidate, 1D09C3, is in Phase I clinical trials and is a monoclonal antibody indicated for the treatment of relapsed/refractory B-cell lymphomas, such as Hodgkins and non-Hodgkins lymphomas and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

The companys total revenues increased at a CAGR of 1.3% during 2002-2006, from $27.6 million to $29.1 million. This represents an absolute total growth of +$1.5 million during the historical period. The companys biggest contributor to revenue growth during 2002-2006 was license, collaboration and other revenues.
