Why Utility Computing is Driving New Standards of Value in IT Management and a New Model for IT Management Technology - An Advisory Note
Enterprise Management Associates, Feb 2007, Pages: 3
This Advisory Note addresses network stability. It attempts at a broad brushed definition of stability in dynamic environments. Fundamental issues are briefly described and methods to achieve stability indicated.
The evolution toward a utility computing model that accelerates business competitiveness is forcing functional and organizational realignments across IT. This ensues because utility computing provides a dynamic and modular fabric of information and computing resources that can align in real-time with business needs—whether it’s the creation of new business services, the extension of existing services to new environments, or merely the effective performance of IT services for employee productivity. Hence, with business’s increasingly pervasive dependence on IT, the ability to quickly identify and respond to IT issues is paramount and accelerating the adoption of utility computing.
