This iDRD (Insight-based Data-Rich Deliverable) is part of the Business Wireless and Competitive Profiles subscriptions. This 13-page insight discusses the US wireless spectrum update made by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This was the decades most anticipated spectrum auction, initially expected to raise $10 billion to $15 billion for the government, brought in much more than expected, delivering $19.592 billion to the government coffers. The auction was held as a result of television broadcasters switching from analog to digital broadcasts. The spectrum, which had been used by television, will be returned to the FCC after the switch in February, 2009. Report defines wireless voice as services, including expensed business accounts. This includes all voice traffic run over wireless or cellular networks. Compass Intelligence defines wireless data services as expenditures on wireless data services, including wireless connection card services for laptops, and data content sent from wireless devices.

The Expert Guide for this deliverable is Stephanie Atkinson.
