KEPCO had an aggregate installed generating capacity of 58,142 megawatts (MW) and total capacity of 65,514 MW as of December 31, 2006. During 2006, the company sold 348,719 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity, up 4.9% from 2005. KEPCO is South Koreas electric utility monopoly, supplying around 90% of the countrys electrical power.

KEPCO operates in the following components of the energy value chain: wholesale energy, power generation, utilities networks, and utilities retail/wholesale. It is planning to become the worlds leading comprehensive energy provider by seeking new markets overseas and diversifying its business portfolio.
