Today as the world energy reserve decreases rapidly and the price of crude oil rises constantly, the governments of each country have reached a common understanding regarding the importance of the development of renewable energy.
Wind power has become newly popular with its zero pollution, low maintenance cost and renewable features. Although China’s development of wind power generation developed late, it has increased in recent years as market demand rises. China’s wind power generation industry developed from a trial period to large scaled industrialization through cooperation with international wind power manufacturers, and the introduction of new technologies. Furthermore, the State Development & Reform Committee came up with a target of 10million kW and 30 kW respectively in 2010 and 2020 for the installation capacity of wind turbines.
According to development planning, the market size of China’s wind power industry shall be RMB 360 billion in 15 years. Although the Chinese energy industry is not fully open, with China’s entry into WTO the market economy will further develop and open up to new market and investment opportunities.
