Summary
This report was carried out in cooperation with Fraunhofer ESK and evaluates the suitability of the iPhone 2.0 in business environments. It shows what companies have to keep in mind when integrating the new device into existing communication infrastructures. The analysis focuses on functionalities, security and central management of the new iPhone.
The report primarily examines the iPhone’s capabilities with regard to mobile email usage and PIM synchronisation. Towards this end, the technical specifications were analysed and tested in live operations by Fraunhofer ESK. All results are clearly arranged in overview tables.
The report is based on extended desk research as well as on analyses and tests in live environments by Fraunhofer ESK in July 2008.

All decision makers and ICT adminstrators, that have to deal with and decide about the use of the new iPhone 2.0 in their companies.
