Inventory management is about managing network design, network capacity and growth. As next-generation services evolve, the task of inventory and network resource allocation becomes more critical and complex to manage. Next-generation services require automated, standardised collection of data used by multiple services and technologies. Data on legacy systems must be linked to data on new service-delivery platforms and consolidated into a single system for operators to deliver high-volume content services cost efficiently.
