The European (EU-12) express and parcels market amounted to EUR39.1bn in 2007 which implied a year-on-year growth rate of 4.4%. The top 5 DHL (Deutsche Post), La Poste/ Geopost, TNT, UPS and Royal Mail/GLS controlled more than half of this total.
