LED backlights, with their ultra-slim features, power saving advantages and high dynamic contrast ratios, are currently widely used by TV vendors to develop new high-end LCD TVs. This has created a new round of competition among TV vendors. This report analyses the development of LED backlit LCD TVs and examines international TV vendors' latest product strategies for LED backlight LCD TVs.

During the past ten years, LCD TVs (Liquid Crystal Display Television) have been evolving in terms of viewing angle, response speed, screen sizes, and
natural colors. Additionally, due to production capacity expansion and improved mass production technologies for new-generation panels, LCD TV prices
are decreasing. As a result, LCD TVs have been accepted by mainstream consumers. With the increasing prevalence of LCD TVs, the competition among international TV brands is also intensifying. In order to strengthen their competitiveness, they have extensively rolled out new models equipped with advanced features and applications. Recently, international brands have been increasingly adopting LED (Light Emitting Diode) backlights, featuring ultra-slim design, low power consumption, and high dynamic contrast ratio, for new high-end LCD TVs. Therefore, LED backlit LCD TVs are fast emerging as a new battleground for TV vendors.
