Impacted by the global economic crisis, while China’s software industry still had developed well in the first three quarters of 2008, its industrial scale had gradually expanded, its market demand had increased steadily, its industrial structure and regional structure had been both improved continuously and its export had maintained a growth as well.
The accumulative sales revenue of China’s software industry was totaled at CNY 576.47 billion in the first three quarters of 2008, up by 32.8% compared to the same period of 2007.
Compared to other countries, China’s software industry mainly has two following advantages: Relative adequacy in human resource, although China is still lack of high-end software developers, and Low labor cost, only half of that in India.
Therefore, software outsourcing in China will maintain a fast growth in a considerable long period.
China central government had put forward the CNY4 trillion investment plans in order to cope with the global economic crisis, IT sector will be benefited from such a huge investment plan.
Currently, IT hardware has enjoyed the largest ratio in China’s government investment, but its growth tends to be slow down, while IT software and IT service have both increased rapidly, in 2008, the IT investment scale in china is expected to reach CNY 44.5 billion, up by 8.8% compared to the year of 2007.
