This report presents Taiwanese WiMAX CPE shipment volume and value forecast and recent quarter review of shipment volume, value, ASP, shipment ranking, and product mix. The report also provides price trends, production locations, shipment destinations, business types by ODM/OEM/OBM, and customer portfolios. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with WiMAX CPE makers.
This report finds that the full-year Taiwanese WiMAX CPE shipment volume in 2008 more than doubled that in 2007.
Nevertheless, the fourth-quarter shipment volume merely inched up 4.2% sequentially, considerably lower than previous forecasts. In the first and second quarters of 2009, Taiwanese WiMAX CPE shipment volume, though seeing continuous growth, is expected to be lower than the level in the second half of 2008. It is projected that Taiwanese WiMAX CPE shipments will take off in the second half of 2009.
