Urogenital Imaging: A Problem-Oriented Approach
John Wiley and Sons Ltd, Feb 2009
- Organised according to presenting signs, with discussion of appropriate investigations - Outlines strengths and weaknesses of different imaging modalities and discusses appropriate choice of technique in each instance - Reviews differential diagnoses and corroborative tests
Genitourinary problems engage the expertise of radiologists, but also urologists, gynaecologists, oncologists, and sometimes specialists in sexually transmitted infection and fertility medicine. Frequently, these problems present in a way that makes diagnosis difficult for the non-specialist and therefore the planning of appropriate treatment more uncertain. This volume draws on the expertise of specialists in all of these disciplines to describe a broad range of presenting problems, illustrated in all their diverse radiological manifestations. The authors describe appropriate tests and investigations for the initial work up, as well as corroborative investigations that aid the elimination of differential diagnoses and lay the foundation for appropriate treatment.
