Russian luxury market is dramatically transforming under the influence of economic crisis. Stagnation of the Russian economy, devaluation of national currency, growth of unemployment, and falling of purchasing power will reduce value of Russian apparel market. IndexBox predict consumers’ expenditures for luxury apparel, footwear, and accessories will fall 30% in 2009, compared with the same period of the previous year. The main Russian market operators, such as Mercury, Bosco di Ciliegi, Jamilco, Crocus, reduced those cost for staff, marketing, promotion, and buyers’ budgets. Probably they will show losses at the end of 2009.
