Health Insurance in the Romanian, Russian and Polish markets in the US
Global Advertising Strategies, Sep 2002, Pages: 24
The survey revealed a great interest in Health Insurance by all three groups, but exposed a lack of information about those types of insurance in all three markets. On average, 54.3% think there is not enough information about Health Insurance policies in their market, and the majority of respondents stated that they prefer to receive such information in their native language. Oxford and United Healthcare enjoy the highest brand awareness on the US Polish and Russian markets. On the US Romanian market, however, State programs, such as Medicare and Medicaid, are the most recognized plans. On average, 68.6% from each group possess Health Insurance. About 51% of Subjects know the difference between HMO and PPO, and 10.6% stated that they almost never visit a doctor. The collected data also identified the most efficient means of information delivery for each group, which vary dramatically due to cultural differences.
*The participants of the survey were active adults of ethnic origin (age 20-55).
