Four Key Factors to Foretell Green IT Success

A recent study of over 800 organizations examined the implementation drivers, barriers, and outcomes of nine green IT initiatives. The survey demonstrates that regardless of the initiative, four main factors affect the success likelihood of green IT implementations within an organization:
Motivation and rationale for adoption.
Urgency to comply with environmental laws and policies.
Sufficient funding and resources.
Stakeholder support.
Understand the key success factors for green IT initiatives, the benefits and barriers of each initiative, and assess the organization’s likelihood of success.
