We examined nine green IT initiatives and identified four key factors that influence an organization’s probability of implementation success. These success factors include the following:
-Motivation and reasoning behind adoption.
-Urgency to comply with environmental laws and policies.
-Sufficient funding and human resources.
-Stakeholder support.
Use this tool to assess how likely it is that the organization will succeed with green IT initiatives given its current state. Consider our recommendations to improve this likelihood score in order to ensure the environmental and business benefits are successfully realized.
