Unlike so many other industries, and certainly not like so many other types of finishing processes, powder coating is already an environmentally friendly process. While commercials on televisions in the United States have been telling the world’s inhabitants to “Go Green” those of us in the powder coating industry have been doing that since its inception.
That staff at Powder Coated Tough Magazine is dedicated to the magazine reflecting the industry we cover, so in September 2008 we, too, went “green”. While some other magazines will have their green issues or feature, we at Powder Coated Tough will be green cover-to-cover in EVERY ISSUE. Powder Coated Tough IS GREEN – that is, the magazine covers green topics and is printed using soy inks on recycled paper.
