- We forecast that total wireless subscribers in Czech Republic will increase from 13.6 million in 2008 to 14.3 million in 2013. - We expect that all of the operators will see their number of subscribers increase over the next five years. - Telefonica O2 CZ and T-Mobile to remain neck and neck at the top while Vodafone is a distant third. - Our model predicts that the numbers of subscriber accounts at Telefonica O2 CZ, T-Mobile, and Vodafone will reach 5.56 million, 5.69 million, and 3.01 million respectively in 2013.
T-Mobile will continue to be the largest wireless operator in Czech Republic
- T-Mobile will continue to lead the Czech Republic in market shares. We forecast that T-Mobile's subscriber market share will remain constant over the next several years at approximately 39.9%. - On the other hand, we expect that Telefonica's subscriber market share will increase slightly from 38.7% to 39.0% while that of Vodafone declines from 21.3% to 21.1% over the forecast period, 2008 - 2013.
The industry average ARPU level will decrease slightly over the next five years
- Our model predicts that the industry average ARPU will decrease from CZK 525.82 in 2008 to CZK 523.79 in 2013. - However, we expect that T-Mobile's ARPU level will increase from CZK 500.00 in 2008 to CZK 510.64 in 2013.
EBITDA margins will be stable from 2009 to 2013
- We forecast that the industry average EBITDA margin (calculated as EBITDA/reported revenue) will remain in the range of 45.2% - 46.0% over the next several years. - At the operator level, we expect that profitability at T-Mobile will improving in the coming years. Our model forecasts that T-Mobile's EBITDA margin will increase from 49.6% in 2008 to 56.1% in 2013. - In contrast, we forecast that Telefonica's EBITDA margin will deteriorate from 44.4% in 2008 to 39.6% in 2013.
