Cancer Drug Delivery: Managing Cancer Patients Beyond Oral Formulation

Oral and injectable formulations are the two main drug delivery systems used for anti-cancer drug. However, each system is hampered by problems of its own and there is yet no answer to the problem of delivering drug with convenience and increased efficacy. The high level of interest in drug delivery technology development will, to a certain extent, close the gap in unmet need, yet it will be several years before any breakthrough is made in improving anti-cancer drug administration.
