The transition from analogue to digital terrestrial broadcasting for radio is inevitable, and yet it continues to create headaches across Europe due to the different commercial and legislative complexities in each country. This report outlines the future prospects for the most promising pan-European approach to broadcasting digital radio: Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB). The report analyses the progress being made in deploying DAB services across the major European markets, and the innovations being implemented by DAB suppliers that could help increase the appeal of future DAB receivers.
