IBM builds up its cloud offering

In June 2009, IBM announced yet another string of cloud computing-related offerings, with more to follow. The three new offerings, an integrated platform, a private cloud and a public cloud, provide large enterprises with the foundation for a number of ‘workloads’ (development and test as well as virtual desktops workloads, to start with). They are key deliverables in the company’s cautious, pragmatic progression into the cloud.
