MALCO Acquisition to Help Expand Uranium One’s Project Portfolio in Wyoming

Summary

Uranium One, Inc., a Canadian uranium producing company, entered into an agreement to acquire 100% interest in MALCO, a uranium joint venture company, formed by the subsidiaries of Areva SA and Electricite de France SA. The deal value is estimated at $ 35 million and the company will fund the acquisition in cash. The company will acquire all the assets of MALCO including the licensed and permitted Irigaray ISR (In-Situ Recovery) central processing plant, the Christensen Ranch satellite ISR facility and associated U3O8 resources located in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming.
