Endocrinology and Metabolism Board Review

The goal of the Endocrinology & Metabolism Board Review activity is to provide participants with an intensive review of endocrinology and metabolism, which would also be helpful for certification. Faculty members were selected for their clinical and teaching experience. The program is heavily weighted to board simulation.
Target Audience: This activity is directed to practicing endocrinologists and other physicians with an interest in endocrinology, metabolism, and diabetes.
Objectives
After viewing this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe diabetes control and complications
- Interpret tests to evaluate hypo- and hyperadrenalism and apply the results to endocrine hypertension
- Analyze thyroid tests and apply results to thyroid disorders
- Review evaluation and treatment of osteoporosis and calcium disorders
- Appraise patients with hypogonadism and pituitary disorders
- Diagnose important pediatric endocrine disorders
- Evaluate endocrine disorders during pregnancy
- Identify genetic disorders in endocrinology
- Discuss the indications and consequences of new interventional therapeutic procedures
- Undertake board simulation question and answers
Accreditation
The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation
The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Education designates this educational activity for a maximum of 18.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Date of credit termination: March 31, 2012
CME credit is obtained upon successful completion of an online activity post-test and evaluation, as well as payment of a processing fee.
