State-of-the-Art Imaging and Interventional Radiology

The State-of-the-Art Imaging and Interventional Radiology program provides an in-depth review of vascular imaging and interventional radiology, as well as exploring important new developments that have occurred or are about to make the transition from the bench top to clinical practice. Leading experts from UCLA and premier departments across the country and around the world present cutting edge information on interventional oncology, peripheral vascular disease, stroke, AVM therapies, and pain management.
A significant portion of this activity is dedicated to advanced imaging of vascular disorders. Faculty provide a practical approach to each therapeutic modality and offer useful tools participants will be able to incorporate into their daily practice.
This activity is relevant to interventional radiologists, neuro-interventional radiologists, and radiologists whose day-to-day practice involves vascular imaging or various aspects of intervention.
Stephen T. Kee, MD, Associate Professor of Radiological Sciences and Chief of Interventional Radiology at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is the course chair.
Learning Objectives:
After viewing this activity, participants should be able to: - Describe various new vascular and non-vascular therapeutic interventions including peripheral arterial disease, deep venous thrombosis, stroke therapy, and vascular malformations - Describe modern techniques in the treatment of cancer, using transvascular and percutaneous therapies - Discuss the new and growing area of pain management - Identify state-of-the-art developments in the world of interventional radiology and vascular imaging
