On October 7, 2009, Compuware announced its intentions to acquire Gomez, an application performance management SaaS solution focused on Web-based applications and Internet-related services with extreme depth in user experience management. The acquisition represents the first time that an application and infrastructure monitoring vendor has fully assimilated a parallel SaaS capability targeted at Internet Web and Web 2.0 application transactions – bringing together a well balanced capability for application performance management across both the enterprise and the Internet.
