Cytopathology for the Practicing Pathologist

The Department of Pathology, Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Department of Continuing Education course Cytopathology for the Practicing Pathologist is now available on DVD to fit your schedule and preparation preference.
David C. Wilbur, MD, Professor of Pathology, Harvard Medical School and Director of Cytopathology at Massachusetts General Hospital, is the Course Director.
This post-graduate course in Cytopathology is designed to be a unique interactive “multi-head-like” experience for the participant. It focuses on specific selected topics covering some of the most challenging areas of cytopathology using a case-based format. Upon completion of this activity, participants will have the tools needed to interpret common and uncommon cytological specimens encountered in everyday practice of pathology, including those procured by endoscopic ultrasound guided biopsy. These tools include specific cytological criteria, diagnostic algorithms, and awareness of specific diagnostic pitfalls and ways to prevent them. Ancillary tests are discussed where appropriate and incorporation of clinical and radiological information to refine the differential diagnosis is emphasized.
